On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO2 Critically assess the impact regulation will have on the Third Sector in light of the new era of regulation.
LO3 Scrutinize and discuss the key sections of the current regulatory framework and what impact they will have in ensuring public trust and confidence in the Third Sector is upheld.
LO4 Explore and evaluate the challenges posed to Third Sector organisations by regulation.

Assessment Description:
Is by means of focused course work which will involve the creation of a strategy report for regulation or governance for a third sector organisation that you are involved with or are familiar with and the legal requirements of same. Students will be required to work together in teams and will present their strategy report to a team of academics and third sector stakeholder together with a formal written report with a maximum word length of 2,500 words.

Assessment Description:
This assessment consists of a three hour examination where students will be offered a choice of at least six questions and are required to answer any four. Some questions will be in a 'legal problem' style format, where students must apply their knowledge and understanding of regulatory principles to a particular set of complex facts, situations or scenarios. Other questions may require students to suggest what appropriate measures should be taken by the parties in order to avoid putting the future and reputation of the charity at risk. Some questions may require students to critically analyse a piece of relevant legislation, case or regulation and its application to the Third Sector
