On successful completion of this programme the learner will be able to :

¿ Be able to critically evaluate classic and contemporary theories pertaining to different functional aspects of the business domain, such as finance, operations management, marketing and human resource management ¿ Be able to integrate theoretical knowledge into practical competence development Have in-depth knowledge and systematic understanding of the role of the key functional areas of business and the relationships between them
¿ Have knowledge and insight into principal theories of organisational structure, development, and business management, and critically evaluate their application to the key business functions, such as finance, marketing, operations management, human resource management and corporate governance ¿ Evaluate key economic and financial principles and understand their impact in the corporate context ¿ Demonstrate mastery of researching and evaluating contemporary literature
¿ Have a detailed knowledge of current theories and practice in the business domain, and be able to integrate this knowledge to solve business problems at top level ¿ Scan and organise data, abstracting meaning from information and sharing knowledge ¿ Be able to design a research strategy, collect information across a range of areas, analyse that information and synthesize it into an appropriate form in order to evaluate situations and alternative courses of action that may be contemplated ¿ Conduct research into business and management issues, and learn through reflection on the literature ¿ Demonstrate advanced analytical skills in relation to quantitative data including using models of business situations and exercise basic qualitative research skills ¿ Be able to select from complex and advanced skills in the management field and develop new skills to a high level, including new and emerging techniques.
