The career planning process (Example: CV, LinkedIn Profile etc)
Ethical and Social Issues in the Digital Firm
• Understanding ethical and social issues related to IT. • Ethics in an information society. • The moral dimensions of Information Systems.
IT Infrastructure and Emerging Technologies
• IT Infrastructure. • Hardware platform trends and emerging technologies. • Software platform trends and emerging technologies Management issues.
Alumni Session
Past students come into talk to students about their current job, what tasks they do on a daily basis and share advice to students.
Securing Information Systems
• System vulnerability and abuse. • Business value of security and control. • Establishing a framework for security and control. • Technologies and tools for security.
Guest Speaker
A person from a company comes into talk to students about their career and education path. This provides students with an insight into the IT Industry.
LinkedIn, Blogging and Interviews
Students set up a linked profile Students blog about topics or guest speaker’s discussions Students record themselves answering questions for a specific job role
Group Presentations
A group of students present a topic provided by the lecturer which is related to the course.

Assessment Description:
Individual project requiring the learner to create their CV and Cover Letter. The learner has to create three blogs and record themselves answering questions in an interview situation based on questions provided by the lecturer. Alongside this, students have to create a LinkedIn profile, attend internal or external events for which they receive a stamp in their Career passport, carry out Psychometric testing and create a speaker journal based on the guest speakers visits.
